This week Nick is away and the boys forge on poorly without him, luckily Caleb Master from GoodTrash Media stops by and bails us out. Mr. Masters brings along some quotes for the Movie Game, and much knowledge of the Zelda Timeline. So buckle in for a wild ride and make sure to have a lot of yarn, pictures, and wall space to keep up with the crazy twists and turn of what gets laid out before you.

The original idea for this film came about in regards to the release of the Nintendo game Zelda: Skyward Sword coming out this week!! The music arrangement was made using some of the Zelda video games most popular songs. THese songs were written by Koji Kondo.
This week the crew of Red Six to Golden Corral is joined by Daniel Aaron Austin, film director and host on Voice of the Artist Podcast. This mighty mashup takes on a myriad of topics from being passed over by Hollywood for a newer model, Power Rangers taking a stab at the big screen and into their roommates, and a Meme Service Announcement “And then the murders began.”. All this comes to a head when the crew reviews the recently released Marvel movie, Logan. All claws out as we find out which of this quartet had the bravery not to shower the movie with endless praise! All that and more in this packed Issue of Red Six to Golden Corral!
Such a purty mou.. I mean logo, LOGO!
Daniel Aaron Austin in the act of unexpectedly punching himself in the face.
Thanks again so much to Daniel Aaron Austin for coming out to join us for some good times recording. Go check out Daniels podcast “Voice of the Artist Podcast” for an insightful look as Daniel and Ashley Mandanas have wonderful and casual frank discussions with artists, creators, and co-conspirators about a life creative.
This week our comic takes a look at that grim fairy tale meeting between Mario and Princess Peach. What a story our hero has to tell his grandchildren, how he gleefully stomped his way through King Koopa’s army, breaking necks and squishing the far inferior foes that stood in his way. Through fire, blood, and guts our Mario finally gets his “meet cute” moment with his “damsel in distress cliche” as aromatic sulfur heightens the senses and the screams of a black magic wielding King Koopa slowly burning to death in the lapping waves of lava set a most memorable and enchanting mood.
This week the crew of Red Six to Golden Corral takes a nostalgic look back at the cartoon themes of the 80s and 90s. From the catchy tunes of the 92′ X-Men theme to the obscure gem that is Conan the Adventurer, the gang critiques the highs and lows of those Saturday morning cartoons we all loved. It’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it’s Batman the Animated Series, it’s Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers it’s time to whip out your nostalgia for this time machine trip to the past when Red Six Remembers This: Cartoon Themes!
This week the crew of Red Six to Golden Corral is joined by local freelance artist Mathew Brendle. Heading up the MWB Design Studio, Mathew discusses his artistic journey from childhood to full time adult professional. Having the good fortune to meet Mathew while attending SoonerCon 2016, the crew have been happily working with him ever since. MWB Design Studio has been responsible for designing the art of red six such as logos that were used for our t-shirts, promotional material, and the artwork behind the new bi-weekly comic strip. Also being a gamer Mathew relays some much needed first impressions of Breath of The Wild (Nintendo) and Horizon Zero Dawn (Playstation) on us!
This is our very first comic to be released under the Red Six to Golden Corral banner, and we started with the lowest low low basement brow joke we had written. I swear it really is the only dick joke penned for the comics so far but after seeing all the videos for Conan Exiles on Youtube, how could we resist the opportunity. Be relieved though because the original joke written was a play on the famous Conan quote about “two snakes, facing each other” and that would have just been a real awkward first step! It really is surreal to see a likeness of yourself used in a comic. I really have to applaud Matthew Brendle (the very talented artist who has done a great job in these strips as well as previous works for us and is available for hire at his Facebook page) for doing such a fine capture of my thin legs, robust belly and southern slopping “pecks”!
The plan for now is to release these on the first and fifteenth of every month. We really hope you enjoy them as much as we do creating them.
Until next time!
