We Didn't Start The Drama - The Twitch Song

A compilation of twitch streamers, twitch memes, and events that have transpired on twitch. I included some of my favorite streamers and also ones I know are popular. I might’ve missed a few things, but overall these worked with the lyrics. I’ve had this idea for awhile now, but never really could formulate how I’d do it. Finally, after about a week of working on lyrics with my friend Neurion aka Redaxxqt we began work on one of the most ambitious videos I’ve done. The song was preformed by Nordic Blonde, editing done by me. Shoutouts to: Drozdowsky, Barry, Tosan, Zomx, and of course Neurion.

Godzilla: Hide Your Granny, Hide Your Kids – Issue 123

GODZILLA: HIDE YOUR GRANNY, HIDE YOUR KIDS

This week the boys of Red Six return to Monster Island.  Identity problems arise as the gang tries discussing Godzilla vs The Thing or is it Mothra vs Godzilla? Either way its the return of the Kaiju slug-fest as the Toho series begins to build steam.  Will this next installment live up to the excitement King Kong brought?  Or will this Mothra fly to close to the radioactive flame and burn out?

This week a new segment debuts where the boys try to determine whether a list of sultry names belong to famous strippers or holes of a different sort.  All this and so much more as a Monster filled movie gauntlet competes against a monster of a Japanese candy.

Recommendations and must watch picks for a variety of genres. Do not miss this issue!

Cowboy Bebop OST 1 - Tank!

The Cowboy Bebop anime series was accompanied by a number of soundtrack albums composed by Yoko Kanno and Seatbelts, a diverse band Kanno formed to create the music for the series, with a principal focus in jazz. The recordings were an international effort with many notable names attached, including that of recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder. The soundtrack was released in the American market by Victor Entertainment, a subsidiary of JVC Kenwood.

Tank!” is the series’ opening song. The song, written by Yoko Kanno and performed by Seatbelts, has an extensive alto saxophone solo played by Masato Honda, as well as a fill part at the end. The song is a big band jazz piece in a Latin-infused hard bop style with a rhythm section that combines a double bass and bongo drums.

“Tank!” is primarily an instrumental piece, though it does feature some spoken male vocals (provided by long-time collaborator with Kanno, Tim Jensen) in the introductory portion of the song, thematically jazz in style. The vocal portion provides a lead-in to the instrumental portion, and its final lyrics, “I think it’s time we blow this scene. Get everybody and the stuff together. Okay, three, two, one let’s jam”, signal the beginning bursts of the majority, purely instrumental end of the song.

It has been featured on the soundtracks to the series and was used on the preview for My Own Worst EnemyKevin Reynolds (figure skater) performed his solo routine for the 2016 Canadian National Figure Skating Championships to “Tank,” and did it dressed as Spike Spiegel.

Lyrics:

Ain’t nobody got time for that
Ain’t nobody got time for that
Ain’t nobody got time, ain’t nobody got time
Ain’t nobody got time for that

Well, I woke up to go get me a cold pop
Then I thought somebody was BBQing
I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire!”
Then I ran out, I didn’t grab no shoes or nothing Jesus
I ran for my life

Ain’t nobody got time for that
Ain’t nobody got time for that
Ain’t nobody got time, ain’t nobody got time
Ain’t nobody got time for that

I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire.”
I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire.”
I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire.”
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, it’s a fire.

I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire.”
I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire.”
I said, “Oh, lord Jesus it’s a fire.”
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

Ain’t nobody got time for that
Ain’t nobody got time for that
Ain’t nobody got time, ain’t nobody got time
Ain’t nobody got time for that
